Growing Gardens Chef in My Garden in Portland this Summer!

Hey, Portlanders!

Are you enjoying the amazing warm weather this week?  I have been busy gardening, BBQing, and generally just being outside in the sunshine.  I wanted to tell you about a great local charity event that is happening in and around Portland this summer.  Growing Gardens is a great local charity that helps Portlanders grow their own food.  One of their most popular fundraising events is the "Chef in My Garden" dinners hosted in local Portland gardens by several of…

Moving to Portland area in July-August

Hello Portland,

My daughter and I are moving to the Portland area at the end of July beginning of August.  I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and I have grown tired of Phoenix.  The heat and dust grate my spirit.  I know it's rainy and cloudy in Oregon but I have had enough of sunshine to last a lifetime.  I'm hoping to find an affordable 2 bedroom apartment somewhere between 600 to 750 a month.  Downtown I'm sure is not going to fit in that range.  I have looked in Beaverton…

Portland Blog: This Week in Portland March 8, 2014

Hey Portland!  I am en route back to Portland from Los Angeles today, where I spent the last couple of days visiting a friend.  Of course LA was great for the sunshine and warmer temps, but the contrast of LA to Portland also makes me happy to be returning home.  March is Portland Dining Month, for one thing, and I can't wait to eat at some of my favorite Portland restaurants.

Come read our…

"Southeast Portland"

aka "SE" Portland

From time to time I am asked why I always state my 'compass location' so to speak. While I don't give you precise coordinates to my EXACT location as I go from client sit to client sit....a mobile nomad must have some anonymity as I might be care taking for local celebrities at times...true story!!…

Happy LOVE of OREGON day...

Happy FRIDAY, happy WEEKEND. Coincidentally, Happy Day of {{LOVE}}...'for the state of Oregon' at least....as I don't necessarily celebrate the 'other' reason, darn it all that Hallmark holiday. Instead, why not spread love year-round. I'm so excited that I'm in a state that can…
