Spooky Town

One Halloween, when I was twelve years old and thought I was too old to trick-or-treat but still wanted to dress the part and prowl the neighborhood, I thought it would be a great idea to paint my face a dark emerald green that I chose from a watercolor paint set.

Keep Your Bike!

I'm going off the path a bit this time around, to offer a cautionary tale-slash-public service announcement.  Because BOY am I hacked off!  (Actually 'hacked' isn't the word, but these are family-friendly pixels up in here.)

I just stumbled upon (not to be confused with stumbleupon.com; this was a legitimate and spontaneous stumbling) a website featuring weird facts.  Since I live in a town that professes to be the epitome of weirdness, I had to have a look at anything it listed for Portland.

Boy!  Portland certainly ranks right up there on the weird graph when it comes to some of the laws on the books!
