I'm meeting some friends this evening at Pied Cow, a place I've loved ever since the missus and I lived down the street from it on Southeast Belmont. I wax nostalgic everytime I go through my old neighborhood, and Pied Cow Coffeehouse is always an excuse to linger.

Geek Redux

Some time ago I wrote here about Free Geek, the non-profit organization here in Portland that offers volunteers opportunities to serve the community by helping refurbish computers and peripherals, and keeping nasty old tech from piling up in landfills and mucking up our precious soil and water.  Great place, great people.  I volunteer there as often as time and opportunity allow.
