Moving

Hello! My boyfriend and I will be moving there next summer. Im so excited to move somewhere that is more our lifestyle. My boyfriend is excited as well, but is convinced that the rumor is true that no one in Portland likes people from California. He believes people will throw rocks at us as we drive into town :) Is it really that bad?
