Which Portland neighborhood do you call home? Or, are you Moving to Portland?
I am currently looking for a job so I can move to Portland.
I currently live in the Chicagoland area. I have a background in Geriatrics. I have a Masters in Counseling and a certificate in Geriatric Care Management. Right now I work with the elderly in the Activity Department in an Assisted Living facility in a north suburb of Chicago. I am looking to find a job within the healthcare field and move to Portland. In my spare time I enjoy singing, birdwatching, volunteering, knitting, hanging out with friends, family and my little cockapoo doggy.
What do you love about Portland?
I love ALOT about Portland....Where can I start?? :) I love the Oregon Coast, the fact that the people of Portland are sooo nice. I love the beauty of the city and the very laid back atmosphere. I love so much of this city that it is difficult to name everything. Some of my most favorite places are: Powell's, the INternational Rose Test Garden, Japanese Garden, Portland Saturday Market, the many parks and the NW district (very eclectic and trendy).
I am very diverse in the music I enjoy. I love a little bit of everything. My favorite genre's of music are: Blues, Jazz, Top 40 hits, music from the 1930's and 1940's and rap/hip hop and R&B.
What's your favorite Portland neighborhood and why?
My favorite neighborhood has to be the NW district (Alphabet District). I love this area because it is so eclectic and boutiquey. I love the stores and the atmosphere. I do like how the street names all start with each letter of the alphabet very cool.
