- The weather, the liberal outlook, the gorgeous scenery, the weather, the emphasis on the environment, the prevalence of vegetarianism, the availability of good public transportation, the weather. Did I mention the weather?
- My music:
- Classical music, jazz, gypsy jazz, big band music, swing, standards, beach music. Favorite performers: Diana Krall, Peter Cincotti, Michael Buble, Brian O'Neal, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Phoebe Snow, Michael Dulin, Pearl Django, The Hot Club of San Francisco. Sometimes I like offbeat things like Western swing music, especially Spade Cooley.

- Multnomah, because that's home now, but am floored by the beauty and character of many Portland neighborhoods!
