Thinking about moving but have some concerns!

Hi everyone,So I'm almost sold on moving to Portland! Everyone I ask from there can't stop gushing about it.  There's just one thing that I'm afraid might be a deal breaker and thats the lack of diversity.  I checked Wikipedia and it says nearly 80% of the population is white!!! HOLY CRAP!! I'm Asian American and I've lived in NYC all my life. It's one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the country with only about 44% of the population being white.  So now I'm wondering what life is like…See More

Profile Information

Which Portland neighborhood do you call home? Or, are you Moving to Portland?
I don't yet have a home in Portland
About Me:
Born and raised in New York, hopeful Portland transplant. I'm looking to move out there before the fall and kick off the rest of my life!
What do you love about Portland?
Can't say that I love anything since I haven't been there yet. From what I hear though, I really think I'd dig the relatively laid back culture and non-conformist streak.
My music:
Lots! Punk, post punk, all 80's actually. Also, 90's rock, hip hop, r&b , indie rock, some indie folk rock, electro, indie electro, chip tunes, etc. not an exhaustive list by any means but there u go.
What's your favorite Portland neighborhood and why?
