Looking for fun things to do with the kids? Let’s share information about Portland area baby/toddler/kid friendly places, activities, events, music, and restaurants. Maybe even meet for an occasional walk with the strollers for us new parents!
I'm a long-time Seattlelite who is about to move to Portland. My husband and I attended grad school at the UW and now that we've finished our degrees, it's time for us to move on. He just landed a great job in Portland, and we're planning on buying our first home. I joined this network because I'm trying to sort through the dizzying number of neighborhoods to try to narrow them down for our house hunt. I'd love to hear from you about your favorite neighborhood and why.
What do you love about Portland?
Don't know yet, but it seems like a great place, similar to Seattle, yet hippier (which to me is a good thing).
My music:
anything and everything on the best radio station in the world, KEXP in Seattle.
What's your favorite Portland neighborhood and why?
Don't know yet, but I'm leaning toward North Portland.
