Which Portland neighborhood do you call home? Or, are you Moving to Portland?
I am an Energy Therapist looking to gain visibility for my Quantum-Touch Level I, Level II and Self Created Health Workshops.
What do you love about Portland?
I love that the Portland Community seems to be awake when it comes to issues regarding social justice and protecting the environment and how especially dedicated we are to a greener environment and options to practices which are damaging or could potentially damage the environment. I love and respect the beauty and majesty of this amazing geography and know that the people who live here do, too.
The classics, jazz, cultural folk music such as Peruvian or Andean Native music and classic rock like the Beatles.
What's your favorite Portland neighborhood and why?
I am drawn to the Hawthorne area because of it's unpretentious, rather bohemian and earthy quality. Sellwood and parts of the Milwaukie area are also very appealing.
There are so many... and they change depending on how I feel on a particular day but here are a couple of favorites:
Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Imagination is more important than knowledge. - Albert Einstein
That which does not kill you makes you stronger. -
And, although it is more of a philosophy that a quote, I have always gained much comfort from the Serenity Prayer:
God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things that I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.
Rogue Pack storytelling theatre for youth at the Sellwood Playhouse will be having an Open House to introduce our lineup of spring classes, play games, and eat some food! We will be telling our stories through writing, drawing and collage. Drop in; write your six-word memoir, a tweet story. Act out your story by playing some improvisational theatre games; or draw and collage your story. There is no one way to tell your story, so you get to choose.See More
