- About Me:
- I'm a newcomer to Portland. I came here from Florida, in an effort to live in a place and a climate that was completely different than what I was used to. I plan on making a living as a writer or a teacher here. My interests include movies, music, books, sports, food & drink, and spending copious amounts of time on the Internet.
- What do you love about Portland?
- Everything. The weather. The people. The beer. The books. I love that I can take public transportation anywhere I want to go. I love that I can walk or jog outside at any time of day and feel comfortable. I love that I can go to a thousand different places for a good beer and good food. I love that I can read in the park.
- My music:
- Spans mostly what could be described as art rock, alternative rock, progressive rock, and all-around hippie music. Favorites include, but are certainly not limited to: Frank Zappa, Supertramp, Phish, moe., Yonder Mountain, King Crimson, Flogging Molly, The Mars Volta, Tool, etc.
- What's your favorite Portland neighborhood and why?
- St. Johns as it's the only one I really know right now

Dana (my friend) is actually a screenwriter, maybe you will see her at the dojo.
If you can survive your first long wet winter, you should be fine. :-) Have you been to the writer's Dojo in St Johns yet? My friend Dana is a writer (we wrote the Portland travel book together) and she hangs out in St Johns at the dojo with other writers all the time. And of course, have you been to Powell's bookstore yet?
