I am the horticulture steward of a 21 acre senior living facility located just a couple hundred yards from the Willamette River in the great pacific northwest. After caring for this campus for the better part of 30 years I have been persuaded to share my experiances with others who are interested in the plant world. Hope you enjoy the journey.

Sunny Saturday

My wife and I just got back from our dragon boat practice down at River Place Marina. I should say the dragon boat/bird watching paddle. We saw at least one bald eagle and a flight of merganzer ducks. Also some herons who were reported to be "getting a bit friendly" up in the trees.
