The more I see of Portland, the more I am in love with the city.I have seen pictures, that are the most beautiful. It is by far the most beautiful city I have ever seen. I like the rain and coldness never bothered me much. Getting too expensive here in S.CA. I want to move here and soon.

I am back now. Have been away taking some time to get myself together. It has been a long time. I have been through some really heavy times right now. I need to find me a job here in California. my husband doesn't know if he will have a job, because of buget cuts. So I really do not know what will happen. Whether we stay in California or not is anyone's guess. I am trying to do the right thing by staying where we are. I want my daughter to graduate from her school, then move out; so we can deside where we want to go to. I am pulling for Oregon.

Hello to everyone in Oregon! I really love your state, and it ment a lot to me that you replied to my request. I am still trying to find my way here. And still have some unfinished business to attend to. I am trying to use the computer less, now a days. We have been having difficulties with both computers here.
My daughter does not want to stay in CA. She wants to go to college in NY. I think she wants to stay there, after her stint in college. However I assured her that there will always be a room and a place for her to stay, wherever life takes us. I was born in Brooklyn, NY, and my husband was born in Hammond, In. We miss the seasons very much, and my daughter hasn't experence the seasons at all; she hasn't even experence snow! This will be a teaching experence for her. I hope she keeps her cool, when thing go right for her.s don't

I completely understand about things not always being greener on the other side. I hear how expensive it is to live down there and I wouldn't want to touch that with a 10 foot pole. My parents used to live in Whittier, California and moved up to Vancouver, WA about 35 years ago. They still feel like that was the best move they have ever made. I really enjoy Portland. Does your daughter plan on staying in California?

Hello Christine... You and many other people are looking to still move up here to Portland. Welcome! How long will it be until you make your way up North? How old is your daughter?
I do love to visit SoCal however I don't think I would enjoy living there year after year. There are so many things to do here in Portland!!

What I am saying is that I love Oregon. I have always wanted to go there, and live. Southern California doesn't interest me anymore. I actually can't wait to get there. We are staying here in california, so my daughter can finish school and get into college, on the east coast. From what I have seen of Oregon, I love it! I could be happy there.
