It was 10 in the morning and Mr. Owl was getting his beauty sleep.  He had been up all night plotting his predatory ways.  His actions were restricted to plotting because he was locked in a cage and was unable to search for mice and other vermin.  Fortunately, he was fed a regular diet of disgusting stuff that he did not have to hunt and kill.  He was, in fact, living the Life of Riley.
