Portland Bike Ride
Its not quite yet but it feels like spring! Everywhere you go though, Portland is embracing spring: from patio furniture displays and little springy dresses and sandals...it might not be officially here but, hell, its practically here.
We've had a crazy gorgeous January and February- more sunny days than I have ever seen in Portland. We are spoiled this year, for sure! Today was a surprise though-- I thought for sure it would be rainy and cold but it was bright blue skies, sunny and very fair-- probably in the upper fifties!
So, I did what half of Portland did: I went on a ~20 mile bike ride, starting in Piedmont and cruising all over throughout downtown Portland and various North Portland neighborhoods. The sun felt awesome and so did the ride (hurt so good, ya know..). I am excited to start bicycle commuting to work again (nopo to downtown) but since I am a softie, I've been waiting for the weather to be...like today!
Anyway, hope you had a great Saturday and enjoyed this awesome weather!

I need to get a bike now that I'm here. Even if I got a pricy one it'd save me tons of money I'd otherwise spend on mass transit. It'll take awhile for me to build the muscle for those insane 45-degree climbs I see people doing, but it should be worth it!
