Moved here three weeks ago, and am looking for a mom's group who meets for playdates. I have a 15-month-old girl, and am looking for socialization for the both of us. ^_^

I'm a new mother of a 4 week old. Things are going good so far. I'm just looking for support in knowing I'm not the only mom out there not getting any sleep!

Hello Mommies! Just wanted to introduce myself; I'm a crunchy AP SAHM, daughter Nora is 11 months. Huge advocate for waterbirth, breastfeeding, babywearing, bed-sharing/co-sleeping and Waldorf Schooling. Hoping to connect w/some likeminded mommies in the area and to offer advice if i can.

Hi everyone. I'm new here as well. Laurel (or "Lulu" as we sometimes call her) is 11 weeks. Up next is the plan for moving her from her bassinet in our room to her crib in the next room. My husband thinks it is pretty much time. I'm sad that she's growing so fast, but recognize that it's probably time as well. She's pretty much sleeping through the night. Any comments on when your baby moved to his or her own room?

Hi everyone, just joined. Noah is 13 weeks. He is still a bit young but I can't seem to put him down in the evening, before bedtime, without fuss.

Oh, I'm confused! I started a discussion in the wrong place. Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone else has a child that needs to be with them all the time. My daughter is 8 1/2 months old and she still cries a lot. I want to be supportive of her,but I have my needs, too. I cry a lot, too. I am always doubting myself. Thank you for your time.

I'm such a slacker, I have not been used this site for several months now. Regarding the pacifier, we just decided to throw it out one day. Actually, my Son put it in the trash himself. It took about 2 hours for him to fall asleep that night, an hour the next night and after that everything was fine. He always falls asleep with Mom & Dad then we move him into his room, so we were with him for any needed support. He was a bit grumpier at night for the first week, but he was also getting used to no more breast-feeding so I can understand. I quit breast-feeding at 16 months and we got rid of the pacifier two weeks later. So many people say to do one thing at a time so the transition is easier, but I personally think getting rid of everything at once sounds easier than stretching it out through several different transitions (just my opinion). It worked for our little one and us anyway. He actually sleeps better at night without it and we are all happier about that!! :)

Artistic Portland Will Make A Splash at First Thursday Art Walk on August 2, 2018 at Artistic Portland
