It's been a while since there was any activity here so I'll try to stir things up.
Much of the escollonia here is showing signs of delayed cold stress from that cold spell we had last December. Showing signs? I understated that, we have dead escollonia all over. Had a few firethorns suffer die off as well. I'm anticipating more delayed damage to show up in differant plants as the season progresses.
I'm already seeing aphids on roses. Squishing them in my fingers as fast as I can. I have even seen some black spot on rose leaves this week, it seems too soon for black spot, but here it is.
Down in the veggie garden the peas are showing as are the onions. No sign of the hops I planted several weeks ago, looking forward to harvest this fall.
The raspberry patch is showing good spring growth and the grape buds are swelling.
So how is everyone else's yard and garden doing this spring?
