I work right around the corner from the carts on SW 5th Ave between Oak & Stark and hit them a lot. I love Give Pizza A Chance and have been trying out Spoons recently. The Whole Bowl up on Alder is great, too, and so is the gyro cart there (I can't remember the name). The crepes cart is great but SLOW.

I love food carts.
Does anyone have a favorite Thai or Mexican cart?
I've tried a few and I love that they're so cheap and easy, but haven't picked a favorite.

Also, Ziba's son is one of my good friends and he can cook too!

I have eaten at more food carts since moving to Portland than I had in all the years prior put together, not including the dirge to be found at carnival midways of course. And as of yesterday, I am pleased to announce my favorite. The group picture just might be a giveaway. Ziba's Pita's are simply off the cart!

I've passed by this Bosnian food cart many a time with zero interest due to zero education on the matter. But nudged on by a friend who had sampled the goods earlier, I decided to try it. Taste explosion, my friends! Never able to decide am I, so the endlessly friendly Ziba, who makes all the pitas fresh daily, offered a plate combination that was not on the menu of all four of the sandwiches she offers. I highly recommend you go this direction. Every sandwich, which she calls "pitas," and which actually look more to my eye like a strudel, is a taste sensation. Heck, even the cucumber and yogurt salad that accompanies as well as the vegetable dipping sauce are unbelievable!
