Seeking Holiday Volunteer Ideas and Opportunities
Hey there, this holiday season my boyfriend and I have chosen to get our families involved in giving back to the community. We have three children between the two of us and have asked them to think of one thing they would each like to do for others and that we would all help to put that desire into motion. They all said they would be interested in helping kids in some way and so I am asking for ideas to help children this season in the Portland Metro area. We would prefer it to be as interactive as possible and something that are kids can really do mostly themselves. Of course we will be support the whole way through but we would like them to get the most out of this as possible. We are also hoping this to be an activity we can give our time and efforts to more so than just money since we have little. Thanks in advance for your responses!

Wish I had some good ideas but I'm stumped for what options there are for kids to get involved (which I think is super cool by the way). I did find this rather neat site that I'd like to recommend to you-- its a volunteer search site-- you put in your zip and keyword and it matches you to resulting opportunities. I searched on 'children' in zip 97217 and came back with over 12 pages of volunteer options.
