PortlandNeighborhood.com

Welcome to YOUR Portland Neighborhood Community

A reader just alerted me to an offensive political ad running on our website's home page.  We don't actually control the content of ads that might be surfaced on the site because the ads are created by third parties then served up by an ad service.  That said, we do have the ability to filter ads off the site by URL (for example, filter ads from sites that might be offensive or ill suited to our audience).  So, once we were informed that a sensitive and inflammatory political ad was running, we were able to block it from appearing.

We apologize to anyone who was offended by the ad.   We actually did not support or agree with the contents of that ad, and like I said: we don't control ads that get displayed by the third-party ad service (usually they are harmless and feature local businesses and deals) but sometimes find out about them after they start appearing, which is when we are able to block them.

Feel free to contact us at any time if you have questions or concerns over the content of the site.

Thank you!
