Lets start you out with a few pro's about Portland!
-cheap/free public transportation
-green vegetation all year round
-good and cheap japanese and mexican food
-backyards and front porches
-gooood coffee and casual coffee shops in general
-farmer's market and cheap local food
I moved out here a few months ago and i used these Oregon Movers to move my stuff. I had a lot of small items, and for the most part the move to Portland was pretty smooth. Hope i can help! and Goodluck!!
