Welcome to YOUR Portland Neighborhood Community

Hi everyone,

I have been having a hell of a time finding a place to live for me and my partner.  We moved from Hawaii back in february and I landed a great job earning best pay ever!

but...I didn't realize everything was property managed out here AND we cant find an apartment for the life of me due to a 6&1/2 yr old broken lease debt that I have from when I was 26 years old.

I know that I am not the only one in Portland who has ever had this issue.  I know there are crackheads who have a roof over their head and I don't...yet.

I have had no problems with previous landpeople since the incident and have great references.

How do I find a place?

here's a link to my post on CL describing the situation a bit better...

Any info would be appreciated!!

Severely frustrated,

Danny P

We are renting our house in Portland! It is an amazing house and fully furnished! Please take a look at this linkhttp://www.rentals.com/Oregon/Portland/r1246944/. We are open to short term and long term options. Welcome to Portland, you won't regret it! You can also contact Heather Fritsch, she is a member in this website, she just relocated from Texas, is currently renting our house. She rented it for the summer, in order to look for something to buy and her contract ends in August! Let me know if you are interested! Take care, Glaucia

"Note for anyone else coming to this discussion. Rental prices in Portland are shooting up quick. $1000 might be able to find a one bedroom/one bath as of now. But they are disappearing quickly and going off the market quickly. If you look in East…"

Rick Hamell replied to Mikey Park's discussion Neighborhood near max rail for student
"At your price point you are going to be limited. MAX goes all the way out to Hillsboro though. Your best bet at that price is to find a shared space in Hillsboro and live there. Use the MAX to commute into town on the weekends and at night. I'd…"
