Welcome to YOUR Portland Neighborhood Community

Hi all!
I'm looking for a rental in PDX - preferably on the grid - that will take well-behaved and lovely pets - 1 dog 1 cat . I work primarily from home, and usually take Her Highness Miss Rosa the Dog with me when i go out. I'd take the cat too but she doesn't like cars.

I'm really looking for a small house or duplex - with a little yard space. At this point i'm not real picky. Plenty of references available.

THanks all!

Hi, Laura. What a cute dog baby you have. So, you're looking for Portland pet friendly rentals. Renting a house may be your best bet given that you have what might be considered a "large" dog. I had this issue myself, as I have two dogs, and most apartments allowed "one small pet". I ended up renting a lovely duplex, at the time.

Here are some places to check for pet friendly Portland rentals. Check the Humane Society link, they have a big list of rentals!

Here's another one that claims all of their rentals are pet friendly.

Also, I think craigslist might be a good place to check.

Good luck! I hope you find the perfect home for you and your lovely pets.
Thanks, Lorri!
I forgot about the OHS links - that's really helpful!

Neighborhood near max rail for student

Hello Everyone, This is my first post on this forum. I just recently got the notification of acceptance into a grad program I was interested in Hillsboro. As I'm quite unfamiliar with the general Portland area, I wanted to see if anybody had any recommendations to certain neighborhoods and areas of PDX. I am pretty set on moving sometime in August, would prefer to find a place somewhere along the $600-800 rent on apartments nearby a max rail. My only means of commute would be using the rail…See More
