The original 1925 silent movie with live accompaniment

Continuing our annual Halloween tradition, the Columbia Theatre Organ Society and the Hollywood Theatre present the 1925 classic silent picture “The Phantom of the Opera”. The film has been deemed "culturally significant" by the Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry
Causing murder and mayhem in an attempt to make the woman he loves a star, a deformed man becomes the Phantom of the Opera. This is THE original motion picture, based on the 1910 novel, and stars Lon Chaney, Mary Philbin and Norman Kerry.
Enjoy the splendor of the Hollywood theatre, along with concessions and fresh pizza from the theatre’s “pie hole”. Movie goers are encouraged to wear Phantom or Halloween costumes to the event.
The Saturday 2:00 pm matinee features live accompaniment with a special score created for this showing by Martin Ellis, playing the Beverly Ruth Nelson memorial organ.
Tickets are $12.00 at the door of the Hollywood Theatre.
