Event Description

Portland, OR-- BOY EATS DRUM MACHINE, Mean Jeans, No Go Know, Graves and the Ax are just a few of the local acts set to take the stage at the annual Rock n Shop on December 12th, 2009 at Slabtown in NW Portland. Over 21 regional record labels will be joined by sponsors KPSU, PDX Pop Now, XO Publicity and Crave Dog Manufacturing to offer up releases at special rates while entertaining shoppers with live music.

The event starts at 3pm and will go late, and is free for everyone 21 and over. Rock n Shop is sponsored by New Belgium Brewing.

This collaborative event showcases the amazing local musical talent and cooperative spirit within the independent music community. Label releases vary and include (but are not limited to) genres of: americana, indie rock, folk, classical, hip hop, punk, metal, latin, progressive rock, and electronica.

Neighborhood near max rail for student

Hello Everyone, This is my first post on this forum. I just recently got the notification of acceptance into a grad program I was interested in Hillsboro. As I'm quite unfamiliar with the general Portland area, I wanted to see if anybody had any recommendations to certain neighborhoods and areas of PDX.
