Event Description

BodyVox pairs contemporary female music artists like Fiona Apple, Yoko Ono, Alicia Keys, and Bjork with dance, athleticism, and story to create a visually stunning production: Rain & Roses. Taking this show off-site to the expansive North Warehouse provides a raw, gritty, and beautiful backdrop that allows for creativity to fly. Choreography includes aerial pieces and BodyVox’s signature brand by Artistic Directors Jamey Hampton & Ashley Roland, with additional choreography by company members Alicia Cutaia, Jeff George, and Daniel Kirk. This show explores the intricacies of life, from love and attraction to the ironic and irreverent. Rain & Roses will be accompanied by BodyVox’s House Band, featuring Michael Papillo, Galen Clark, and Jason Okamoto, as well as L.A. based singers and musicians Holland Greco, Katy Pearson, and Tim Bulkley. This groundbreaking show is not to miss: wit, whimsy, and Portland weird!
