Event Description

At August’s First Thursday Art Gallery Art Walk between 4-6 pm, Artistic Portland will feature work of members from the Pacific Northwest Sculptors display through August 12th. Sculptors Carole Murphy, Dan Good, George Heath, Chayo Wilson and Mo Ross are invited to come talk about their work.

The Eclipse is the inspiration for a challenge the member artists have embraced. Visitors can vote for their favorite piece of Eclipse art featured in the Co-op’s window. All entries will be submitted into a drawing for a $25 gift certificate for Artistic Portland. The drawing will be held on September 1st, and the winner will have 30 days to pick up their prize.

Visitors from near and far can meet other members from the Co-op, view their latest creations and express their own creativity by painting a ceramic bisqued bowl for charity between 2-6 pm. All supplies will be provided by the art co-op. After firing the painted bowls, they will be available for $10 with all proceeds to nonprofit Sisters of the Road Cafe in Old Town Portland.

Pianist John Gilmore will play and vendor Eastside Distilling will provide spirits for tasting and purchase.

Artistic Portland is an Artists’ Co-operative that reflects the legendary, rich and thriving PDX art scene located at 318 SW Taylor Street in the heart of downtown Portland.
