This year Sellwood’s Summer Passport event on Aug. 7th, marks the unveiling of local photographers, Campbell Salgado Studio’s, new outdoor portrait garden and public sculpture installation.
Neighbors are invited to step through their garden gate into a natural light photo studio behind their lovingly-restored 1908 Craftsman. Welcoming drivers, bicyclists and neighborhood walkers on Tacoma Street is a newly-placed, large-scale, painted steel sculpture entitled ‘Jump’ that evokes happy energy.
On Saturday, August 7th between the hours of 10 am – 5pm families can sip ice-cold, lavender lemonade and kids of all ages can enjoy an Ispy scavenger hunt and participate in an old fashioned cupcake walk while experiencing a one-of-a-kind portrait garden filled with sculpture and artistic finishes.
Campbell Salgado even has a few surprises (valued from $79 – $200) for Passport visitors who schedule a complimentary planning session for their holiday family photos while touring the studio on August 7th.
Partnering with local family-owned businesses is one of the unique ways Campbell Salgado Studio has grown their business over the last 15 years. August 7th they are excited to share prizes and treats with their guests from the Eclectikid’s humorous t-shirts, hip treasures from toy store Plue and tasty cupcakes from RobotsLoveCupCakes Bakery.
