Event Description

The paintings of local artist Betty Chilstrom will be shown this May, with an opening during First Friday in Portland’s Central Eastside Arts District. The collection includes numerous Portland houses, buildings, bridges, trains, and cityscapes. Chilstrom, who has been painting for 55 years, captures each subject in a colorful storybook-like setting. Come find out if your house is in the show! Some proceeds go to the Architectural Heritage Center with a portion going to the Buckman Historic Association, which is currently undertaking a volunteer effort to submit a National Register of Historic Places district nomination for a portion of the Buckman neighborhood.
