W2D is pleased to welcome candidates W2D has endorsed in the upcoming May primary races for State and Metro: Val Hoyle (Oregon Commissioner of Labor & Industries), Lynn Peterson (Metro Council President), and Rachel Prusak (House District 37).
Val Hoyle’s background includes serving in the Oregon State House and as Democratic House Majority Leader. The Bureau of Labor & Industries (BOLI) is tasked with upholding the rights of workers and citizens, making sure that workers are compensated for their work and time, educating employers about their responsibilities to their workers, and promoting a highly skilled and educated workforce through apprentice programs in partnership with all types of employers in Oregon.
Lynn Peterson, running for Metro Council President, has extensive experience in government, including having served as Chair of the Clackamas County Commission. Lynn is a regionally acknowledged transportation expert.
Rachel Prusak is a Nurse Practitioner and Oregon Nurses Association Union member running for Oregon House District 37 (West Linn, Tualatin)
