With the many challenges facing Oregon’s legislators during the 2017 session, W2D is pleased to host a panel of legislators to discuss the last legislative session and upcoming challenges in the next.
When convening the session, Oregon faced a $1.8 billion budget hole, and a need to find funding for education, transportation infrastructure, maintaining health care coverage for the 378,000 Oregonians benefiting from the ACA, and more. And despite a number of successes
including producing a balanced operating budget, looming challenges await future sessions. The legislators will give us their assessment of what lies ahead.
Our esteemed panel includes Senator Mark Hass and House Majority Leader Jennifer Williamson, and first-term legislators, Rep. Janelle Bynum, and Rep. Karin Power. The moderator will be Anna Pycior, Legislative Director for the Oregon House Majority Office.
Light refreshments will be served
Cost:Members $15, Non-Members $20
